The Science behind Floatation R.E.S.T. (Reduced Environmental Stimulation Therapy) involves reducing our 5 senses (sight, sound, smell, taste, & touch) as well as any external sensory input.

 

This allows the brain to enter a deeply relaxed state similar to meditation, going in and out of low frequency Delta & Theta Brain Waves.

 

This reduction in stimuli can lower stress & anxiety by decreasing cortisol levels and increasing endorphins (the body’s natural analgesics, also known as the body’s natural happy hormones).
